# 3D Spanning Trees

I was treating meshes as graphs, and deleting the faces off an OBJ leaves the edges, which is enough to run Kruskal's algorithm on.

Independent development. Java graph algorithms and a Blender add-on.

![Original project render showing a regular mesh edge grid beside two minimum spanning tree structures.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/qnuj1c4o/production/01220c02f9a0294cbeacd2fcde699a4be0b95637-2690x1080.png?w=1920\&q=80\&auto=format)

The tree comes back out as OBJ you can open in Blender, and there's a Blender add-on in the releases if you'd rather not leave it.

Four small Java classes, written in 2023. I haven't needed to touch it since, though the compiled classes from that build are still sitting in the repo.

## State

A small tool and an add-on, released in 2023.
